La Brochette - Ottawa, Ontario

This is my favorite African restaurant in Ottawa!!! The food is very delicious, I ordered the chicken brochettes platter and I will definitely be back. Yes

I’m only giving two stars because the server was nice and apologetic. I got my coffee for free because I waited 40 minutes for eggs over easy. I didn’t eat the “home fries” because they’re undercooked and I could taste something else in the oil they were fried in. Fish? I ... don’t know. But I was not impressed. It’s the only breakfast joint in my neighbourhood but I’m sorry to say I won’t be back. I’m not sure what their lunches/etc are like but I do know the place is painfully short on staff and I suspect they don’t have the caliber of chef they would like. Read more

Food is great, the service is on point. They serve Caribbean food as well which is such a nice mixed. we have tried almost everything and i am amazed by tasty the food is. I've done over 460 Google local reviews and posted well over 1500 photos, I rarely give a 1. I should have known not to go since I never see anyone eat there. Really fantastic food: plantain in particular was perfectly cooked, and my guest was very pleased with the tofu brochette in particular. (I like the lamb, myself!) Only problem: service was polite, but very slow. Fully, "are they making the tofu to order?" slow.
