4 of us went to dinner after a round of golf. We got the family platter, which would serve a very hungry family of 4 indeed! It came with spinach, salad, basmati rice, delicious fresh pita-like bread, and a heaping plate of kebab meat. The spices and flavours were ... delicious. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly, tender, and juicy. The rest of the meat was very tasty with exotic Middle Eastern spice and well grilled meat. Maybe I would have liked a little more sear on the meat, but it was plenty good anyways. The family platter was $99 and came with 4 cans of pop, s it was a very reasonable price. I really like the food here. It says "authentic" Afghan food on the menu but as someone who's never been to Afghanistan, I really don't know if this is authentic or not. Worth it! Outstanding crispy naan and well prepared pilaf rice dishes really made the cut. We were impressed by the clean and nice dining hall too! Must try Afghan place in Ottawa.
