Restaurant Saigon 27 - Old Montréal, Quebec

They took my reservation, made my way over, paid for parking, walked to the front door only for it to show up boarded up. You would think that the first place a restaurant would update their info is on Google.

This is a decent rating because of the friendly staff. My daughter loves to eat pho', so we probably go to viet restaurants once a week (at a minimum). Having said, this is the first time I didn't get to finish a bowl of pho, especially that the ... bowl size is not even considered as large. My wife didn't finish her tom yum soup (thai cuisine) either, mom-in-law didn't eat her wonton soup and the calamari is just filled with breading. My daughter was not too excited about the taste either, flavour is missing. I am a bit disappointed because I was expecting better taste considering the name Saigon and the price point. As someone from Southeast Asia, this place serves ok food, more Viet than Thai. The pho is still reasonable but the tom yum and pad thai doesn't taste remotely Thai. Meat serving in the dish is also miserable.

Meh. Fine. I asked for very spicy Thai food but it was pretty bland.
