We went here for a birthday dinner while in town. I ordered the crab cakes (2), and a side of fries. The food came pretty fast and was very tasty. The service was good as well. The drinks are pretty standard but the overall ambience sets the night off right. I ... was told this place turns into upscale venu at night with an exotic lounge type vibe, unfortunately we already had reservations else but next time I'll definitely check it out. Went for a late dinner to celebrate my friend’s bachelorette party. Overall the food is good. Salmon tartar was good but missed seasoning, filet minion was excellent and the sauce was delicious. The food is good but the portions are laughable. Great place to go if you're prepping for a night of clubbing maybe as the music is loud during the supper hours and the drink prices match the clubs. It’s a pretty place and really really loud place. Why not to go there : 1) Do Not go there if you want to sit down and have a chat with your crew you won’t be able to hear one another. 2) the service was the worst. I went to complain and the ... server said « don’t cry ». However the manager try to maintain the situation. 3) cocktails are overpriced and overdiluted. 4) ordered straight tequila shots which tasted like water.. 5) extremely loud ambiance Why do go there : 1) young crowd 2) great music 3) perfect past 12 if you wanna dance there is dance floor in the basement Overall : would not recommend, there are many Much better places to party in Montreal. A friend and I were on our way to another bar and happened to be parking next to Joverse so decided to try it. Was a little difficult trying to figure out how to get into the place eventually we did enter. The guys at the door were ... very friendly and welcoming. Upon entering I really liked the place. It had a great atmosphere and I really enjoyed the music. A very trendy bar. The bar lady was also very friendly and she smiled a lot which for me is a big plus. We had a few drinks but did not try the food so cannot comment on the food. Drinks were great. Overall I would recommend Joverse Bar and I will be going there again. Read more
