We were visiting Montreal and called twice to reserve a table. Twice they answered and put us on hold, but they never came back to the table. So I booked two seats at the bar at 6pm. When we arrived, we saw that the bar stools didn't have backs. We ... were exhausted so we asked to sit elsewhere. The hostess rudely told my husband that we had to sit where we booked on Open Table. The restaurant had maybe four tables seated at the time and many, many tables available. When I returned from the restroom, I told them we needed to sit at a table. The hostess said, "Yeah that's fine, but you have to leave by 7:30." RUDE! Then the server was rude and curt. She didn't want to be bothered by our questions about the menu. I was really appalled by how much we paid for good, but not amazing sushi, and by how we felt rushed during our entire meal. The guys who poured the water were great, but the women who seated us and served us were awful. It's for this reason that I wouldn't return or recommend this restaurant. When we left, there were still a couple of tables available, so it was clear that they simply didn't want to accommodate our request. Sad. Read more
