The gnocchi (Could almost melt in your mouth) and pasta were great but the veal and chicken were thick and tough. We found the chairs very uncomfortable and my back hurt from sitting with no support. Went on a Friday with My son and was served by David. He was lovely and took such good care of us. Ordered calamari to start, was very tender and delicious. Had the spaghetti pescatora and My son had shrimp Alfredo. Both were amazing with generous portion sizes. To ... finish I ordered an affogato for dessert which was perfect. We ordered take out through Uber eats and won’t be making that mistake again. The portion sizes were so small. We only got 2 mains and 1 side and it cost us nearly $80..which is ridiculous if you think about it. Also, when we got home the food was cold..we live ... close to the restaurant (walking distance) so I know it couldn’t have gotten cold that quickly. The calamari was ok but the cornmeal coating they use is way too coarse. The penne bolognese tasted overdone, like it’s been sitting on stove cooking all day. The fettuccine was actually really good but there was minimal chicken in it. Im willing to pay for a good pasta but come on, at least give a decent size for what people are paying for. Read more

I had heard of Ritorno from a friend whose judgement I trust. Tried it during a taste of Oakville, and it's really good. Excellent food, tastes homemade with quality ingredients. The atmosphere was really nice too. They have done a good job creating a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal ... and make you feel at home. I had the potato and leak soup, my partner had the roasted pear and sweet potato salad. We both had the chicken Parm for the main and split a tiramisu and tiramisu latte.
