It was my first time at Nino's tonight and I will be back for sure. The dining room and washrooms were very clean. The waitress Jessie (sorry about the spelling) was so friendly, professional and very quick service. I went with her recommendation of pizza and have zero regret! The ... potato pizza was very tasty. Greeted by friendly staff. Atmosphere wasn’t the greatest. Restaurant stunk like cigarettes the entire time we ate from people smoking inside the front entrance of the place. Sat waiting at the table for a server for little longer then usual. No fresh bread at the table, or any bread for that matter. Appetizers were ... mediocre at best. Ordered Cesar salad and rice balls. Main dishes arrived and temperature wasn’t warm enough for my liking. Sauce was bland, meatballs were cold. Was hoping the pizza would be saving grace but to my disappointment it wasn’t. Don’t let the hype fool you, just another mediocre Italian restaurant. Read more

Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the ratings of this restaurant which is the main reason I picked it. The staff was friendly but the food and atmosphere left me wanting more. I had a seafood pasta with a white wine sauce. I felt the flavour/sauce was lacking ... and my seafood, notably the shrimp, was overcooked. Moreover, they didn't offer me or anyone at my table freshly grated cheese or ground black pepper on our pastas (we all ordered pasta as our main course). I found this to be strange. That said, the portions were generous, including the free bread. However, this bread could have been elevated a couple notches by being served warm. I hope the restaurant can use this feedback as constructive criticism if they see it. I really like supporting family restaurants and wish them the best with their new menu. Read more

We were very unimpressed with the service and the meals we had. For the price I expected a lot more. Our pizza had dough 3/4" thick in some parts and was smothered with way too much cheese, it was also incredibly salty. The gnocchi was hard and rubbery and the ... sauce tasted exactly like kraft dinner Mac and cheese. It wasn't busy when we went but it took a long time for someone to take our order and after our food came the waitress never came back once to check up on us or refill water glasses. I took my girlfriend out here and I must say I am extremely satisfied with my experience! The food was beyond excellent and the customer service was outstand. Quick and friendly staff. The owner introduced herself and really made sure that we had an excellent over all experience. If your ... looking for quality authentic Italian cuisine, this is the place to be. Very pleased!
