Delicious gnocchi and grilled shrimp. The soup was amazing on a cold winter day. Everyone in my party enjoyed their crafted cocktails and their dishes (pastas). Went here for lunch today...was a very nice place for a great meal! Delicious food with great ambience, a bit expensive for the portion size, but very tasty food none the less. Nonna's gnocchi is to die for, and the carrot, parsnip and sweet potato soup paired with the Julia ... salad was also very delicious!! Had a decent experience here as a first timer. Not the type of restaurant where I would typically go but tried it on the recommendation of a colleague. Selection was good, as was the Ceasar salad and seafood linguine. Cozy atmosphere. I wouldn't go back as it's not my cup ... of tea, but would recommend it to others. Read more

About six years ago I would have given Julia's five stars plus gushing recommendations. The service was warm and considerate, the food was nuanced yet classic, the portions were shareable but not overwhelming. Pricing was impressively fair as well. Harsher economic realities may have forced the changes in menu and pricing ... to be more upmarket, but the service has also taken a bit of a hit. I came here as a part of the Taste of Oakville event. My companion and I tried different things to share off their Prix fixe menu. The flavours were present but not overpowering. The portions were better than I was expecting. The price is more upscale ... for individual items so it's not a place to eat often on a budget. But it can make for a good evening out.
