Bronte Fish & Chips - Oakville, Ontario

My friend visited from Toronto and we were craving fish and chips, the best fish and chips in Oakville did not disappoint! Beer batter was delicious, and the atmosphere and service were lovely.

Overpriced for 1 piece halibut and chips for $21.99 before tax. The breading of the halibut was standard. The chips were homemade for sure. The tartar sauce came in packets. Not spectacular enough to be over $20.

Exactly what a classic fish and chips place should be! Truly delicious, fast, and a generous portion - done right. Great, happy server as well. It’s nostalgic for my dad as he first came here in the 60’s from the UK. Highly recommend the Halibut & Chips!! Decided to try Bronte Fish and Chips a few days ago, got a bunch of stuff for the family. Never been here before but I saw a line up for this place one Friday when I was driving by and it’s been on my to do list. We ordered a bunch ... of different things: halibut, chips, onion rings, gravy, shrimp. All of it was delicious. The halibut was fresh, flaky, extremely soft - as it’s supposed to be, with a nice portion. Chips were good, not the best I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. Could be a little bit crispier. Onion rings were unreal though, they were made fresh, extremely good. One of the best I’ve had. The shrimp were great too, can’t go wrong with them and they were de-tailed so you don’t need to worry about it. Will definitely be going back to try more. From what I could see is everything was made to order and it was absolutely delicious. I didn’t see them on ubereats but they do take credit cards etc. Customer service was great, they were very friendly. We stepped out for a few mins to get some grocery and came back just when the food was ready. All in all great experience. Read more
