Boon Burger Cafe - Oakville, Ontario

Had this place on our radar for over a year. When we arrived, we realized it was under new management. The service and ambiance was great. The food was good but underwhelming considering the expectations we had. I had the aloo tiki burger and my wife had the ... chicken burger. The fries were not worth it. Overall, I think it's a good spot to grab a burger...they have a lot of options and a few fusion (Indian) dishes as well. There is a beautiful patio to sit at as well. Read more

This place is underrated. I am not vegan, but have strong appreciation for vegan food. Besides the fact that the food was tasty, and the staff are excellent, the main reason for five stars is that the food actually tastes healthy. For instance, I can actually see and taste the seeds ... and lentils in the patty, as supposed to being another beyond meat. Furthermore, my 10-year-old who isnt vegan either, who is very picky with food, is giving it a thumb up at every bite. For an absolute beginner, I would suggest you start out with their pizza, which tastes exactly the same as a non vegan one. Great food and service here. First time dining in, and very happy with the food here. I got the 'Big Kahuna' with a side of 'southwest poutine' and strawberry kiwi iced tea. Definitely hit the spot. My first time here. I wanted to love this burger but was a bit underwhelmed! :( It looked amazing, assembly and presentation was superb. The burger needs a little textural diversity, it was a lil mush, the patty had no salt or flavour. A toasted bun would have been awesome. Staff are friendly and helpful when ordering. Clean store. Great vegan restaurant with lots to choose from. I've come here a couple of times now and each visit never disappoints. Tasty food with good portions. I love grabbing a cookie as they're always freshly baked.. or their soft serve which changes ... often but the flavors are always bomb (raspberry is my fav and the mango was delish).
