Abbey Arms - Oakville, Ontario

Such a friendly place. Anyone living in the old part of Glen Abbey can walk there. They have ciders for people who are gluten free and a pretty good menu as well. It's our go to place when there's no food to cook in the kitchen at home.

We have been coming here for 26 years. It was my birthday celebration! I ordered the salad with caramelized pecans and chicken and shrimp. Unfortunately when it arrived, the only nuts in my salad were plain walnuts. Then I recalled that I'd ordered this a couple ... years prior when we took my brother and sister in law there. Same problem. That time I told them at the end of our meal and they'd responded by taking it completely off the bill. This time I immediately informed our waitress but even though she checked with the kitchen, they charged us half price for this salad. I wasn't even able to eat it because it was so dry and flavourless. I was disappointed. I told them that they need to write a note beside this item in the menu to inform customers that they do NOT have carmelized pecans! Read more

Traditional English Pub in the heart of Glen Abbey. Amazing selection of beer and the wings were great. They had live music the night we were there, excellent atmosphere... band rocked! We were supposed to have brunch but apparently our party was too large for that. So that was disappointing. However, the food was good! Had a club sandwich and it was delicious! Wednesday night it’s busy at 7pm. Lots of tables with reservations. Seems like a popular spot for large groups to gather. It is a small-ish pub and the noise level is quite high.
