We have been going to Owl of Minerva for years now, and sadly, I can no longer recommend it. The prices have gone up to the roof within a couple of years. Not only that, but the portions that they give you are so inconsistent that you might get a ... lot less depending on how they are feeling, I guess. Here's a picture of a spicy bulgogi dish that I always ordered. It has also increased by 7 dollars since the last time I went there, but they only gave up 530 grams worth of food. Now ask yourself, do you feel like that's a rip-off? Twenty-one dollars for 530g for a 21$ dish that has a little bit of beef and mostly veggies? I don't think so. The good times that Owl of Minerva have passed, and now all that matters are profits. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels ripped off by this situation. PEOPLE WHO ORDER TAKEOUT. Beware that they might not serve you the right amount of food portion simply because they can get away with it. Thanks, Owl of Minerva. Awesome service, amazing food! My personal favorite is the kimchi jjigae pork. Loyal customer since they open we keep coming back whenever we crave korean soup!💯
The one place next to Sheridan College where you could treat yourself to a satisfying, authentic Korean meal. Slightly pricey, but generous portion. Totally reccommend it to Oakville dwellers. I visit regularly.
3.5 stars for the food. 4 for the stews. 3 for the seafood pancake. They have a big menu with lots to try. I ordered the clear beef soup and my sister ordered the tofu stew. Both were pretty good and we should have stopped ordering. Then I saw they had ... seafood pancake. That was disappointing. Yes the portion size was MASSIVE but it was really missing umami.
