Despite the crowd, the 20-minute wait for a table flew by, filled with the tantalizing aromas of delicious food and the lively chatter of satisfied customers. The bustling atmosphere added to the anticipation, and when we were finally seated, we were eager to dive into the menu. Ordering through a QR code was quick and convenient, making the entire process smooth and efficient. This was our second visit to San Ji Fried Bao, and we had fond memories of the exquisite dishes from our first experience. We started our meal with two servings of the pork dumplings, which are undoubtedly the highlight of the menu. The dumplings boast a perfectly crispy bottom and a juicy, flavorful filling that is simply out of this world. The pork flavor is rich and savory, making these dumplings the best we’ve had in town. As an appetizer, we decided to try the deep-fried dough fritter, and it did not disappoint. The fritter was delightfully crispy and was topped with a sweet and savory sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. The addition of sweet pork floss added a unique texture and flavor that elevated the appetizer to a whole new level. For dessert, we indulged in the caramel mochi, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Best pan fried buns I've ever tried. Quick service, hot and fresh food. Had their original, and curry Sang-Ji. Both were equally delicious. Bite sized wonton soup was a good snack. Also had their fried mochi (super chewy and stretchy with a great filling). To date, no one else can compare to ... Sang-Ji! Prices are reasonable. Duck soup looks appealing because of their long prep time. Love that the menu is simple and straightforward. Twas a quick meal before they closed on a rainy night. The sang-ji baos were juicy and super hot with a very crunchy bottom. We ordered original along with the curry beef edition. The noodle portion was good and tasty too. We didn't really enjoy the schnitzel but that's leaning towards our own ... personal preference. All in all, a great meal! 🥢 Read more

There is a lineup at 2pm 🕑 on a Good Friday. It is crazy busy. So pack your patience … the food is very good. The bao is super fantastic. And the other dishes are top notch. Happy eats everyone 😃

Authentic Shanghainese style street food! From the buns to the pork chop to the scallion noodles to the duck vermicelli soup, this is place not overrated at alllllllll. Everything is priced well, the food is hot and served quickly and even the service is pretty great. The original buns are amazing ... but the curry buns were surprisingly delicious! I’m a purist and I was impressed. Definitely can’t wait to come back. The pork chop portion is very generous though a touch greasy and could use more rice cakes but I would still order it again. The wontons were savoury and made in house and the youtiao bing was also a nice surprise. We honestly loved EVERYTHING! They take card but cash is king. Read more
