Aroma Espresso Bar - North York, Ontario

I love going to this aroma during winter and watch people skating on the ice rink. My fav coffee is the Aroma coffee. Last time I went there it was too packed, so it was too noisy and tables were not cleaned.

Came here first thing on a Saturday morning for a quick but satisfying breakfast before grocery shopping, and was not disappointed! Despite the time and day, I was still able to get a table, and actually enjoy my order at a relaxing pace without feeling rushed! Great atmosphere, but ruined by staff (he might have been the owner) I took the family to Aroma Espresso bar at Shops at Don Mills for brunch to enjoy the sunny Saturday. The patio was packed, we waited for two tables to clear and pulled them together - to fit 5 ... chairs. One of the staff, he might even be the store manager or owner, came up to us asking me to give up our 5th chair. I said I ordered $75 worth of brunch, so we needed two tables and the chairs to accommodate our party and the food we ordered. We were not rowdy, or blocking fire exits or in the way. He simply wanted the 5th chair back because they were short on chairs. Throughout the stay, that staff member kept returning to ask if one of us can vacate the seat because other patrons were looking for a seat. What made it uncomfortable for us was, when the patrons asked for a chair, that staff member pointed at me, inferring that I have 5 chairs at these two tables. I think Aroma needs to address the lack of chairs and not defer blame on their paying customers. Aside from that, the food and coffee were amazing! Read more

Most patio tables are for 2 and they do not allow moving tables together. As well, as of aprx 1pm, most tables are in direct sun light including those with umbrellas. Tables inside are convenient but their dining room is very noisy. They were out of their burekas which are one of their ... best food items (the Bureka Treat is a great sandwich). The pastries display did not look very appetizing. Please note that they have some (reusable) printed menus in front of the cashier so if you want to review their menu, might be more convenient to use them.
