This was the worst chinese food I have ever had. Way too salty. Spicy squid was not Spicy, just breaded squid with sauce on top. Beef chow mein with soft noodles had almost no flavor and all the noodles were sticking together. For condiments, we got one soy ... sauce and one sweet and sour sauce. Very cheep. It's one of my favorite spots in North Van for Chinese food. So incredibly delicious, I especially recommend their sesame chicken, the deep fried spicy squid and their beef and vegetables chow mein. I wish they had bigger and cleaner washrooms, but the food is just so good that I can ... overlook that. Their portions are also pretty big, I almost always have leftovers to take home. Read more

Ordered from here about a year ago was excellent. Ordered tonight brought it home basically mediocre all you can eat buffet Chinese food The chow mein was horrible Singapore style noodles, bland, and the fried squid tasted like flour Broccoli with chicken and mushroomwas pretty good Fried rice was gummy ... and also included mushrooms. We have done pick-up for 30 years here. The last time was disappointing food quality. The mushroom fried rice was all stuck together and the almond chicken was just OK. They claim they haven't changed their cook. But it definitely was not ... as good as before. Read more

I have to say how impressed I am with the quality of the food here. I was worried after reading some reviews... However Golden Pearl impressed me with the flavourful Won Ton soup, tender Sweet and Sour Pork, and amazingly tasty ginger beef. To top it off, their Chow Mein ... was "bussing" (to use my kids vernacular). Highly recommend visiting Golden Pearl! Read more
