Ruth’s Chris Steak House - Niagara Falls, Ontario

Food was delicious; however, admittedly a bit overpriced but that isn’t the issue. Dinner service was fine. We were sat in a private booth and once we received our food, the waiter closed the curtains around our booth, thus creating a very intimate dinner. As my wife and I were preparing to ... pay, this is when we received the worst service we have ever experienced. We noticed the bill included a NFDF (Niagara Falls Destination Fee) which was on or around 12% of the total bill. At the moment, we were not sure what this was and as I asked two different waiters what this fee was for, they gave me two completely different answers which still didn’t answer my original question: what is this NFDF fee for? As I finished paying, the waiter read the receipt, and threw it down our table and stormed off. Perhaps he wasn’t happy with the amount of tip I gave (this was on top of the NFDF fee we were FORCED to pay). We were stunned. As we were leaving, the waiter gave my wife and I dirty looks. The food was delicious. Sharie did a wonderful job making sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant and memorable retirement celebration. We had the ribeye steaks and they were cooked to perfection.

Absolutely wonderful experience here! We were celebrating an anniversary and were given a very romantic quiet booth with rose petals spread on the table. Multiple staff and management came to wish us a happy anniversary and check in on us multiple times throughout the night. 16 oz Rob steak was grisly and fatty (see photo), and pricey. Spent over $800! for 3 people. There are much better options.

I ordered 2 main courses, New York Steak Portobello Mushroom and a side of Lobster tail Mac & cheese. The dishes took a long while to get to our table. The food was served piping hot. Excellent quality food. I highly recommend it.
