It was my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary and we were starting off the day at Perkins for breakfast at Niagara Falls. I had made reservations flawlessly using Open Table but this option was only available 1 to 2 days in advance of coming in. We were seated as a table ... of 8 in one of the smaller rooms in the restaurant. Roberta was our server and not only was she kind, courteous, communicative and good natured, she had a great sense of humour too! She really took care of us and made us feel special. She went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our breakfast. There was an error on the kitchen's part where we advised there would be no butter on toast (due to my daughter's dairy allergy) but there was butter. There was also some missing pancakes. Roberta made things right and we received what we ordered. The food was superb by the way. I had the build a breakfast meal. The hashbrowns were delicious and not too oily. Sausages were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The pancakes were so delicious and better than Canadian IHOP! After our meal, we asked Roberta to take a picture of us to which she gladly did and she was so nice to my mom and actually walked her out when leaving. Such a pleasure to meet her and if any customers wanna go to Perkins, they will be lucky to have Roberta as their server and get yummy, delicious food and service. We went to Perkins to use our coupon for the free lunch for the kids. The kids Mac and cheese was basically Kraft dinner. The mashed potatoes that came with it tasted like old instant powder mix. The corn that came with my other child’s meal tasted old, no wonder ... he didn’t finish it. The adult meals were okay. The waffles, eggs and sausage links tasted regular. The only saving grace was the humongous sausage on my husband’s meal. That was delicious. Our friend’s order was bland. It was the skillet platter.
