Buchanans is located in the Doubletree Hotel which is very convenient since we were staying at this hotel. We had a dinner and breakfast here, the food was pretty good. Our experience at Buchanas was absolutely amazing. Our order included Grilled Atlantic salmon, Mediterranean salad, Caprese chicken, and some cocktails, including other dishes. The ambiance was both inviting and sophisticated, with soft lighting, sleek modern decor, and a soothing atmosphere that evening. From the moment we stepped through the door, ... we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. The server was attentive and offered expert recommendations. The service was amazing. The ambiance was nice. The view was great! The portion sizes were good. The steak was cooked well but a little bit salty. The pasta was a little flavourless. It was a tad bit on the pricey side. But overall it was an okay experience!

There should be more people eating in this restaurant. Our server was attentive and helpful. They offer free bread before your meal. The beet salad was large and very fresh and we were able to substitute goat cheese for cheddar cheese. The pickerel was fresh and ... tasty. It came with rice, vegetables and spicy relish. The salad was only $12 and the pickerel was $28. Very reasonable for a restaurant in a hotel. Been to this restaurant several times and we will be back. The restaurant did not charge a special tax/fee unlike other restaurants in Niagara Falls. Feb. 2024 My husband and I went back to Buchanan's and we weren't disappointed. We ordered the pickerel again and this time I ordered the beef short rib. It came with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. We had a great experience dinning at Buchanans. The highlight was our server who took exceptional care of us. He personally ensured our requests for modifications were fulfilled. The food was yummy and we enjoyed everything we ordered, from the beer on tap to start off the meal, to the ... desserts. It was everything we hoped for on a Sunday night dinner with a kid, who was fully engaged in the activity our server provided, and whose food arrived super quickly anyway, so, thank you kitchen staff!
