El Santo - New Westminster, British Columbia

My first time here and it was a delight. Excellent service and interesting menu of drinks, tacos and more. We were given the back room and stayed to chat until closing (4 hours!); that’s how comfortable we ladies felt.

This is my 2nd visit and I am always impressed by how good the food tasted. I had the wagyu when I first visited and was so happy that I had to go back and share the experience with my son. On my 2nd visit, I had the Chile Relleno ... and that too was so good. We also got the Guac Trio and our fave mix was the chicharon, followed by mango and lastly the orange. We really enjoyed our meal at El Santo. It’s has a perfect balanced elevated atmosphere here. The food was outstanding. We can sense the care from the chef and the staffs to ensure we have the best dining experience. We especially enjoyed the masa crusted rockfish and the wagyu steak.

We've been to El Santo twice, the food is fantastic - our personal favorites are the tacos. Service is good but had an issue with slow service during our first trip when we were seated on the patio. Second visit was much better. Be sure to order a side of ... cornbread, it's has great texture and fluffy (not super dense). Read more
