Shawarma Corner - New Westminster, British Columbia

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time exactly half an hour ago and it will be the last time, just because I ordered my dinner without onions, and I repeated that more than once that they do not add onions inside sandwiches, and when I returned home ... the view was like this, how much in the picture, this amount of onions is enough to make a large amount of food, this is the first time I write a negative comment on a restaurant, and I gave this star only for the good manners of the employees there, they were very polite in their dealings, but I think they have a hearing problem, I am sorry to say this. We were attending the job fair in the neighborhood, and after being done we found ourselves starving as we looked at shawarma corner. We decided to give it a try and ordered the beef shawarma wrap and the beef special or exclusive? We thought ther would be a difference in ... sizes, but not really. I had the lamb on rice and portions were just right ✅️ 😋 👌 Really fresh with an array of vibrant sauces plus the hummus was very smooth and tangy! The lamb was really juicy and fragrant! Definitely coming back when I'm in the area!

Great in portion and taste. I ordered Chicken plate, that came with rice, chicken slices, hummus, salad and a pita bread. I couldn't finish the whole plate and it was so filling. Shawarma comes in 2 sizes, regular and special. Special is double in size. Friendly and pleasant customer service.

Grabbed a lamb plate during a work lunch, which contained lamb shavings on a bed of seasoned rice, a tabbouleh and cucumber salad (you can add feta for an extra fee), and yogurt and hummus dip. It was great and the portions were very generous for a lunch that is ... very reasonably priced at $13.99 before tax. I also learned later on that you can pretty much choose any meat and put it on a bed of fries, which I'll be trying next time (and of course, you can get it wrapped up in a pita of course)! I'll be honest; you won't be here for the ambience (it's set up for quick grab-and-go takeout meals in New West) but service is fast, and if you happen to dine in as I did with my friends, the staff will bring your food to your table which is nice.
