Good place if you like Korean food without line up. This restaurant was cozy and food portion was large compare to other restaurant. Service was welcoming and fast. I will definitely come back for the hot pot with more people next time.

New Korean restaurant opened near the corner of fourth and sixth Ave. Inside is quite spacious, friendly and warm. We were greeted with warmth and service was prompt(we were one of the few, so I hope this level of service keeps up as business increases). They also provided us with ... some cute children cutlery, plates and bowls. As a service(as it is called in Korea, we call them on the house items here (free)) they provided an apple juice for the kid! The service here is awesome (again, I hope they keep it up once they get busy). This level of service does not exist in the lower mainland and if it does, it's going to cost you. They brought out some refreshing bean spout cold stew as well for free. It mimics roughly a restaurant you would find in Korea within the more touristy areas. We ordered the Haemul pajeon, doenjang jjigae, and the budae jjigae. Everything was delicious. The pajeon was overflowing with seafood goodness and not doughy. It was also crispy and soft. Great contrast. The budae jjigae was delicious, lots of variety (as it should be due to its proud tradition) and heart warming. Really reminds me of old school Korea and what my grandmother and mother would make. The doenjang was very good and hearty in flavor. Service recieved was a five out of five. Friendly, respectful, attentive and prompt. It is reasonably priced for the quality recieved (which is quite high quality). If this was a well established restaurant, I would give it a four out of five. However, as this is a new restaurant, I am giving it a five out of five as I would not have expected such a great execution on the first week of opening. Will be coming back to try their speciality dishes. Update Came back a second time a couple of days later with a diverse group of people. Ordered the same things but added the bulgogi, and dolsot bibimbap. I am impressed. The level of service was the same, and the quality was the same. Sorry no photos as I forgot. Everything was delicious and the staff worked hard to make sure the atmosphere was wonderful. They added an apple after dinner snack and it was great. Simple, yet good. Update: I have been back multiple times with various types of company. The quality of the food and the service have not dropped. In fact, I would say it has improved as they are remembering and catering to regulars. I would reccomend this place to anyone wanting to try something new. If anything, you will truely understand what hospitality in a food industry should look like and what this means within the Korean culture. Read more

Excellent! I went there alone on a Sunday evening and the service was perfect as the 2 servers asked me regularly if I wanted more side dishes. The chef (although I believe it was) personally asked me if it was good. I order the ttukbaegi gamjatang and it was very ... good! Pleasing to the eyes and very tasty. Portions are excellent!
