My wife and I usually order takeouts from this place. We've noticed that the quality has been dropping since it got acquired a few years ago. It used to be Okonomi if I'm not wrong. Anyway, it's a shame to see the prices rising while the overall quality fluctuating. First we ... thought it was due to new business processes in place, but now it becomes obvious that the place just tries to squeeze more margin from the business. Good quality food with excellent service. Caring and attentive staff, I order from here all the time and if I get a hot dish and a cold dish they make sure to have them in separate bags so when I pick it up the hot dish hasn't warmed the cold ... dish. Quality ingredients, though whenever I get the beef yakisoba, there seems to be more fat than beef. I REALLY enjoy the salmon sashimi. Read more

Tl:Dr - poor quality - slow -rolls fell apart -rolls where 80% rice -resembled a buffet style of food -lack of actual filling in the rolls. I miss the old restaurant that was before bars sushi. Good was fantastic, service wasn't great, but I go to restaurants to eat. I ordered roughly a $100 worth of sushi. Was ... told that it would be ready in 25 minutes. I knew this would be false, but thank them for the order anyways, ( they weren't busy at all.) We can back and waited for an additional 35 minutes. Finally received the order and left. When I arrive to my destination and we opens the food it donned on us that it was just a pile of rice, with little to no filling . The sunomuno was less than a cup full, and the tempura was under cooked ( yam, sweet potato, bean, zucchini, prawn) I'll never go back. I'll never order again Me and friends would visit the restaurant almost weekly in groups of 2-15 people ( with proper notice of any party bigger than 4) RIP Bara. We have a lot of competing sushi places in New West but this one is near the top. Not the cheapest and some rolls are not that great, but their Hot Night Tuna Roll is very good! Always clean and courteous staff.

My go-to sushi spot. I love this place and anyone I bring there also ends up loving it. It isn't discount sushi, so you pay a tiny bit more for the quality. They have a lot of options so you can drag your non-sushi loving dates and friends there too. I ... have family that drive an hour each way just to join me for dinner here because they love it so much. I have never had an issue getting a table, though Friday nights it can be really packed.
