Amazing experience at Gino's for our first time there! Food portions are very generous, and everything tasted good. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, couldn't have asked for a better evening!

I never knew I liked Greek food until I went here. I went during the dineout Vancouver festival. I got the Pita Bread with Tzatziki, Pawn Souvlaki, and I think a tuxedo cake. The Missus and I had passed Gino's many times over the years and now have visited 3 times. We have found the food to be above average for the price paid. The Missus really enjoyed her roast lamb on the Thursday night special while I liked the baked lasagne. However, we ... found the service to be very inconsistent. On the third visit, we had the best service. On the first visit, we felt rushed and the server never asked us for drinks or dessert. Then on the second visit, the server neglected our pizza order (even though the restaurant was not busy) while we had finished our other dishes. We had the pizza as a take away. As with other reviewers, we also did have a few pesky fruit flies as our dinner guests. Read more

I tried the roast lamb and calamari here. The roast lamb was very tender and had great flavor. The calamari had a nice texture and was plenty seasoned. Both plates were a good portion size. Prices were very reasonable and service was good. The restaurant had a nice local community ... vibe. I would definitely come back to try out other menu options. Read more
