Very old, dated hotel in the downtown area. Bed was quite comfortable and the room seemed pieced together from random parts of older hotels. Hotel does not have central air in the rooms, only in the common area. Rooms have wimdow units for cooling. Noise is an issue as the ... nightlife below passes eaily through the makeshift window dressing accommodating the AC. Please listen to the reviews talking about the noise. Stayed here for 3 nights and even with the provided earplugs, have barely gotten eight hours of sleep combined. The sky train is essentially right outside of the hotel and Vancouver has very good public transit meaning it’s running every 1-5minutes. ... It feels tortuous trying to sleep. Definitely don’t stay here if you have kids. That being said, the rooms are clean, bed is comfy and maid service was very friendly and helpful. Location is very close to everything too. Great! Clean, good service, intimate setting. I’m a fun neighborhood, close to two different train stations to Vancouver. Much more economical than staying in city.

A hidden gem for a great pride in New West. Right next to Columbia skytrain and there’s many good eateries on the street. My room had a little bit of exterior noise because of the gap in the window where the AC fits, but not bad enough to wake me ... up. Wifi speed is pretty good for a hotel 80mbps down, 90mbps up and and average ping of 50-60ms. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Would 10/10 stay again. Thanks! Read more

I stayed at the Met for a week, and I really enjoyed my time there. Rooms are really nice, the bed was also very comfortable. There's also a parkade across the street (they provide you with a parking voucher) as well as the Columbia sky train station being a 50 ... metre walk away as well as a subway and circle k being right there too. The only thing I disliked about my stay was the amount of outside noise, but that's still not a big deal since that's what you'd expect for being in a busy part of town. for the price, it's a great hotel.
