The Chopped Leaf - New Westminster, British Columbia

Been going to Chopped leaf for awhile now and service and quality has tanked. Ordered this Quesadilla and...well look at the picture. This is absolute theft at this point. I paid for a meal and this is a joke. Its bad enough that the prices are so high with cost ... of living being what it is, but then we are expected to tip on top of that for take out as well and this is what we get? not even the bare minimum let alone above and beyond for a tip. Worst location, I’ve never had a problem with other chopped leafs and wanted to get lunch. Asked for a southwest wrap with chicken. Got home and the wrap is the smallest I’ve ever seen. And not even the right one ! ALSO upon opening, the contents inside are embarrassing. Just a ... few piece of chicken and spinach. worst wrap I’ve ever paid $13 for… Called them and still waiting for an email to confirm that next time I get a free wrap. The Mediterranean salad was tiny and the lettuce was brown. Totally tasteless! It was a $14 salad that should have cost two bucks! I feel ill. This place really went downhill like a lot of places in New Westminster.

I'm delightfully impressed by the service and freshness of the salads. I made a mistake in thinking my Mediterranean bowl came with a pita bread , the picture on the menu showed a large piece of pita bread. I complained, and the gentleman patiently explained it it was ... the the "salad" version that featured the pita bread. He was generous and gave me a complimentary bread. Read more

I've been to this place before I moved to the US about 3 years ago and now returned to it during our vacation in Canada. My favorite used to be the Design Your Own wrap option and I went with it. It did not disappoint. I got a wrap with chicken ... and avocado, romaine, kalamata olives, croutons, mushrooms, onions, and Caesar dressing. It was phenomenal!!! I don't have a picture because I took it for to go and shared it with my husband in a gym, but damn was it good! All ingredients were really fresh and flavorful, avocado was nice and ripen, the wrap had good amount of sauce, but did not leak at all, it all stayed inside the shell! Also, croutons remained mostly crunchy even after a couple of hours of being in a bag before we ate the wrap. The flavor was amazing! Like I said, this location has been my favorite for a long time and I'm happy the quality of food did not suffer after pandemic. Really happy that the place survived. Will definitely be going back when we visit again. Those wraps are really good and they have a long ingredient list that allows to mix and match. Really recommend it! Read more
