Had hot chicken wines and fish and chips. Fish was fresh, lightly battered and crisp. Very good quality and tasted great. Home made tartar sauce was very good, too. Came with crispy fries (chips to you Canadians), and a light coleslaw. Came with 2 large fish pieces, so we split it. ... Had the game day wings as an appetizer, tossed hot sauce, with excellent blue cheese dressing. Very nice meal for 2. I come to Match quite a fair bit and I'll tell ya, the food is pretty hit or miss. For example, the Cajun chicken could be juicy and tender one day but dry and overcooked the next time I would visit. The atmosphere is pretty average at best with a ... good amount of TV's to watch sports in a large space. Although, the tables and chairs are damaged and ripping apart. Lastly, the service here is pretty average. I have noticed that the morning staff are a lot friendlier than the staff that have served me at night. One server though, Terry, has stood out to me the most. I would say 75% of the time I come in, I see him seating customers, taking orders, making drinks and delivering food. Doesn't this place hire enough staff? I can't help to feel sorry for the guy when it gets busy and I see him running around, but he still serves us with an amazing attitude and accommodates us if there is anything wrong with our orders. Overall, I would have rated Match 3/5 stars but Terry's hard working service brings it up to 4/5 stars. Read more
