I like this place. The fact that they have Heineken on tap is a big plus for me, because it's my favourite beer. This place has a great selection of beers on tap. New to New West, but come here often for drinks. Never had their food before but their customer service is so great I didn't want to leave a bad impression. Really friendly staff/locals and great prices.

My big pet peeve is places that advertise beer special prices that don't include alcohol tax. $5.45 beer special? 4 of them plus tip ran me over $40. Dirty pool Hops.... Dirty pool.. Service that was completely indifferent. Thursday just after 9pm kitchen already closed. It's really close to the skytrain and ... that's its best feature. There's superior options to this place within 5 minutes walk. Really disappointed as I'd seen it there for so long. This was just my experience and with some like this I won't review until I've gone a few times but there's no way I'm ever going back there. Read more

They have extremely expensive wings. It is advertised as 1 pound of wings for $14.95 but they only give you 6 wings (which is most definitely not 1 pound of wings). The wings did taste fine though just very small portions. The calamari was also good but came on a ... very small plate. Drink specials were good. The service was excellent. Trivia night on Wednesdays are fun. Overall great for drinks but expensive food and small portions. Read more

We visited this pub a few times, usually in summer to be seated on their patio area. It offers quite a decent list of beverages. I found their choice of IPAs to be a bit weak, but after pandemic re-opening, they introduced Mariner IPA to the list, and it's a game-changer ... for me. Service is slow at times, mainly because the place is packed, and there's only one waitress, but it's bearable. We never went past appetizers, but I can tell that wings are good, and mozzarella triangles are nice when cheese stays inside, which doesn't happen always, and you get triangles with no cheese inside. Also, I'm not sure if it's a post-pandemic measure, but now the kitchen closes at 8 pm. For us, somehow missing the last kitchen call, it was the end of the night. One other thing that I really liked, which is not available anymore in COVID-19 reality for very obvious reasons, is that they used to have a popcorn machine where patrons could get a free popcorn – it's genius.
