This was our second visit to the Scran and Dram Scottish Public House. Staff are fun and friendly. Food has been great both visits. I had the Fish Chowder to start. It did not disappoint, so many great flavours coming together. I then continued the fish theme with their fish ... pie. Their pastry for the crust was reminiscent of my Grandmother's the filling was cooked to perfection. They offer Sticky Toffee pudding one of my all time favourite desserts. Hidden gem in New Hamburg with an authentic Scottish atmosphere and delicious food and friendly service. We were visiting the town and decided to stop by for a meal and a drink. Our waitress was extremely friendly and patient as I took some time to decide on what to have with ... their extensive menu. She was happy to accommodate our allergies and notified the kitchen right away. I was very glad to find another place that proudly serves scotch eggs and makes a gourmet dish out of it. The eggs were served with picked goods and a delicious creamy dip that worked perfectly with it. The steak and mushroom pie was worth every penny as it was one of the best meat pies I've ever had. It was filled with chunks of pull-apart braised beef and mushrooms throughout. The gravy served with the dish was very buttery which suited the peas very well. My only regret is not having the room to have mashed tatties on the side with this dish. I think it's a must! We will definitely return here if we are ever nearby! Read more

My dad and I came here for lunch the other day. The environment was just so lovely - exactly like a proper UK pub down to the decor and everything. The menu had a fantastic selection of Scottish and British pub classics. My dad had the Rabbie Burns dinner (which ... he loved) and I had the winter Turkey sandwich and fries. To say it’s the best sandwich I’ve had in a very long time is an understatement to say the least. It was AMAZING, as were the French fries. Also our waitress was so lovely and kind and friendly and was more than happy to chat with us about the food. It’s a bit far for me but I will ABSOLUTELY be back soon because it was so wonderful.
