I was there for my birthday with my family. Amazing food, very friendly owner and overall great vibes. The amount of food we got for our money was also surprising and we had enough for breakfast the next day. Highly recommended, a hidden gem!

I had never been to Bofinger BBQ before, but for the Superbowl we were having a small party and wanted to order bbq by weight. It's a super normal thing in the US to get meat by the pound but none of the three places I've had bbq at in ... Montreal offered it this way. I called Bofinger and was told of course they do so we ordered 1.5kg of pulled pork and 1kg of brisket. We ordered a day in advance and picked up on Sunday. They called to verify we'd be able to get it still and accommodated us coming by early. Although it was pretty empty at 230 on a Sunday the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and the the smoky smell was just right. We grabbed some Carolina and Texas bbq sauces and a bit of last minute coleslaw as well. When we told Amir we were from the US he let us try the pork ribs which were really amazing! Fresh out of the smoker, juicy, meaty and super flavorful. We tried the bbq pork and brisket immediately after bringing it home and it was great as well. Pulled pork honestly has a very high floor, it's almost never bad, but the brisket was very good. Fatty enough to not be dry. Could have used a tad bit more salt for me but I like my meat pretty salty so it's probably a personal preference. Coleslaw was the "health salad" variety not creamy which isn't standard for BBQ places I've been to but also is my preferred type of coleslaw normally so no complaints there. Both sauces were good and I was happy to hear him clarify South Carolina when I asked if they had Carolina sauce. Both were nice and tangy. I went to Bofinger today for lunch with a couple of friends. They recommended this place so we went. Two of my friends ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich with French fries. I ordered roasted chicken breast with fries and another friend ordered pork ribs with fries. I had black cherry soda as a ... drink. Although I am not a soda drinker at all but I gave this a try and was ok but sweet for me but others may like it. All were satisfied with their orders. What I appreciate that they make fresh french fries, they do not use frozen ones as other restaurants. There was only one man serving. He was the cashier and the cook. We were the first 4 customers and then two others came. Regarding being solo in the restaurant the speed of the service was good and he was nice and cheerful. I knew that with a combo, you get a free drink but from Monday to Friday. The washrooms are clean and the atmosphere of the place is positive and cozy. First time visiting and we had pulled pork sandwiches. Fries were hot and delicious, the portions were generous and the sandwich was fantastic— meat was tender and flavourful and the bun was fresh and soft. The owner was welcoming and very kind!
