Igloo Beverage Room & Steakhouse - Moncton, New Brunswick

Went last evening for their fish and chip special. It was not busy at all yet it took about 30 minutes to get our meal. I got there and was offered a drink 20 minutes after I got there. Once the food came , no one came back to see ... how the food was or if there was anything else we needed. We were not offered dessert either. Not an overly friendly great servcie. The fish was bland and didn't even taste like fish. The batter was also very bland. The sweet potatoes fries were tasty though! I have been here before and had the burger which was amazing. This wouldn't be my top pick for food and would reconsider returning. Read more

We were there in a large group gathering. We were about 70. They accommodated with no problem. The service and atmosphere were excellent! I ordered the 6oz Steak dinner, which was cooked to what I requested. I also had mashed potatoes and vegetables. The only issue I had ... was the vegetables. I felt they could have up them better than the peas & carrots I received. They were not seasoned. I myself don't like peas, so maybe having a couple of options would have been nice. Read more

Visited the Igloo for the first time recently, mid afternoon on a Friday. Place was mostly empty, as expected. Service was prompt, staff were very friendly. I ordered the two piece fish and chips. Batter was very light and crispy, fries were very good. The food ... was excellent. I would like to try this place again when it's busy, more lively. Igloo Beverage Room is a great local pub, offering the typical pub food and drinks, but their food is above average when it comes to flavor and quality! The burgers, nachos, wings and salads are some of the best!!!They make a good effort to accommodate dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is lively- ... particularly so if you are there on Wednesday night (wing night is popular due to their awesome wings!) and on the weekends, as they usually have live music, or an event of some sort. They participate in many community events, and their proximity to a university makes it a “place to go”. The Igloo has been around for a long time, so it’s known and loved by locals, and under its new ownership, has been updated both aesthetically, and menu wise. It’s a great place to watch a sporting event, take in local musical talent, listen to some comedy, or just meet up with family and friends! Read more
