Sehmi Sushi - Mississauga, Ontario

Love this cute little place. Didn’t go as much during the pandemic but after a couple years I decided to take my daughters last night and amazingly enough they remembered me. Got a pleasant traditional bow and welcome. Food is amazing. Great value for money and the staff are so ... friendly. My kids loved it - the private little booths, the mellow music and little chatter from the other customers just added to the experience. Not loud and busy like the other places. Highly recommended. I visited this restaurant two nights ago. I was really craving some sushi. The sushi was really good. But for the almost $18 I spent i was surprised to see how small the portion size was of actual sushi. I would give a second try as ... sushi is good. Just really small portion for the price you pay.. The rolls are massive and delicious. The mango roll.worj fried potato on it is the best m mix of fish, fruit and potato ever. The Blue ocean roll is a perfect way to end a meal , wrapped in cucumber it is super refreshing. Like a fish salad... Will be ... coming back... Ps best Miso soup ever!!!! Read more

Small quiet sushi place and very well maintaned. Came here several times and the staffs are super friendly and service seems to always be good here. Seems like it is a family business as the old chef (i think owner) seems to always works here. Best part is the sushi ... quality and taste here is above all others in the area and at a very competitively low price. Even the soy sauce seems to taste homemade and not salty. I usually don't like the ginger that comes with the sushi but this place seems to do it right. Also sushi rice seems to be just right as in seasoning and texture. Read more

Very nice staff. It was less than 30 minutes to closing when we arrived but they still warmly welcomed us in. We decided to do takeout and order a spicy sushi combo and a fancier roll. We ordered and paid, then took the food home. It is still sometimes difficult for ... me to adjust to the pricing vs quality of sushi since I moved here from BC where fish is cheap and plentiful, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that this place was decently priced and well worth it in presentation, service, and quality. We got home and the fancier roll was carefully placed and wrapped in a way so that the pieces stayed upright and intact. Fish quality was very good. And wasabi had a good punch. I appreciated that the sushi chef also put the wasabi in the nigiri pieces. I am looking forward our next visit, next time not so late, so we can try other dishes like the grilled fish. This place might become my go to place for sushi and other Japanese style food. Read more
