Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu - Mississauga, Ontario

We had #12, pork bone soup with hot stone rice. I loved the purple rice. The soup was flavourful without being overly salty. The price was reasonable (~$17) and it had a generous amount of meat.

We had a delicious dinner here! Everything had good seasoning and not too salty. We made a reservation and the staff were all very lovely and accommodating. The side dishes were all great and was given a refill (radish, kimchi, bean). We ordered the Combination Soon Tofu (Plain), Hot Stone Bibambap, ... My parents actually introduced me to this spot and I didn't realize there's other locations (downtown Toronto specifically). Whenever I'm in the area, this is my go-to solo date spot! I honestly think it's one of the best places to go when you're alone. I absolutely love the staff because ... they're not invasive to your space. As for the meals, I feel like the main thing I get is their Sundubu-jjigae. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their soups. I love that they give you an egg to crack in yourself. The soups are boiling hot. The rice that it comes with is actually the star of the show (in my opinion). I love purple rice and I love that they offer to actually pour hot water or tea (I can't tell) into the bowl to get the crispy rice off the stone pot. It's one of my favourite things about this place. The overall spot is very homey and comforting. I come here so often so it's no surprise that I will be returning if I'm ever in the area. Read more

Traditionally family-owned K-restaurant with delicious hot stone pot rice. Soup is flavorful and rice is cooked well with both soft and crispy layers, perfect for winter days. OMG the pork bone soup here was AMAZING!!! Broth was super flavourful and tons and tons of meat that is fall off the bone tender. Fried chicken was also super delicious as was the dumplings.
