Nice ramen place with strong flavours. Not the most variety on the menu, as compared to other ramen places but still good. The spice level is also less than they warn you about,, I got the second highest to try something new and the waitress told me to prepare myself ... but it was quite mild. Read more
Delicious ramen at this joint. Can tell they are popular from the number of patrons. Lots of choice on the menu, including sides and rice bowls. Highly recommended.
Arrived on a weekday for dinner, the parking lot is busy, but you will find parking eventually. Inside, there is a wall of fame, featuring pictures of all that passed the volcano ramen challenge. There are several a tables available for seating. Staff was welcoming we down our table quickly. ... The menu is extensive, so many endless options. What I like about this place is they have categories advising you what the broth is made off and the options available within that category. You are able to choose your spice level as well. Most of the group ordered Spicy shoyu kamen (chicken), with different spice levels. It was really good, will definitely open your sinuses. It will warm you up from within. We also tried the gyoza, it was crispy fried well, not to greasy. It was tasty, we weren’t too fond of the lemon sauce it always paired with. Oyakodon (rice) dish was also ordered, served with salad and miso soup. Similar chicken like the gyoza, friend chicken cutlet with rice, served with scrambled egg. The dish was a tad bit dry, I had to use the sauce from the salad. It was flavoured well so was still able to finish it. Overall, if you are in the mood for some ramen, I highly recommend checking this place out. Read more
This seems to be quite the hot spot and I think there is room for improvement. There seems to be a dedicated patronage and the wait list was quite long on this Saturday evening. We were assured it was worth the wait. I agree and disagree. I will not be ... returning as a first choice for ramen in Mississauga, and I would go back. Though the broth was good, the noodles were okay, one of our soups was so over spiced even after we requested a mild version of it. It should have had no spice. My tan tanmen was nothing like I had elsewhere and I tend to use this as a bench mark, I wouldn’t order it again. The basic Tonkotsu was very nice. The karage was done well, the sauce was also nicely done. The soup portions were small compared to the competition and for the price. Read more
My daughter and I have been visiting for a few years now. My daughter loves the TanTanMen. But there was something off today. The noodles seemed too dry and might have been old. Otherwise the service is great and they always welcome us so kindly. They think my daughter is ... so cute and give her a ballon or sticker whenever we visit. Read more
