Piatto Ristorante - Mississauga, Ontario

Been dining few times in late 90’s moved away from Mississauga for a while but after 22 years I returned to this restaurant. I always loved their mushroom trumpet appetizer, sadly and obliviously they did not have that on their menu, regardless the service was amazing, food is ... still as good as it used to be…maybe even better. The décor still stayed the same. I’ve had such good memories from this place, I had my 17th birthday here way back when and visiting here today brought back good memories. A fantastic lunch coupled with impeccable service made our day. We ordered an arugula salad with pear and stilton cheese; sauteed veal liver topped with a sherry sauce, accompanied with potatoes and steamed vegetables; a veal cannelloni; and profiteroles with ice cream and a hot chocolate sauce, complete with an ... espresso. The menu is lean which is often an early sign of a good restaurant. Everything was well-priced. Service was outstanding and we were taken care of from the moment we arrived to when we departed. One of the best dining experience I have eve had. I went there with my husband on our marriage anniversary today. The food is way too good. If you have the appetite for good food please go there and enjoy. The service, the food quality, the ambiance everything is enjoyable I ... swear. Not to forget the awesome dessert vanilla panna cotta with raspberries, tastes delicious, I could eat 50 of those without any hitch. Highly satisfied. Price wise it’s expensive but worth every penny. 10th Dec, 2019 I have visited this place again with my husband and couldn’t be much happier again. It’s still the same in every way possible. The ambiance, the food, the servings, you name it. Very good but inoffensive flavour. Needed had more spices or seasoning in both the Duck Confit and Bison Steak with fig. I've had better flavour for far less elsewhere. Still it's inoffensive and there's a large selection. Vegetables and potatoes were uninspired.

Fine Italian dining in Mississauga. Great atmosphere. Great food. Friendly staff. Rumor has it that this place will be closing down in a year and they're not sure whether they will reopen. Due to that I highly recommend dining here while they are still around because once ... they're gone, you'll never get to experience everything that is piatto bistro. Read more
