Everyone was extremely friendly. We have been looking for an Indian restaurant in the neighbourhood that services non spicy butter chicken for the kids. Of all the places we have been to, they were all too spicy for the kids, but the chef here offered to make a separate dish ... for my kids that are not spicy which we were appreciative of. I recently dined at this restaurant and have mixed feelings about my visit. On the positive side, the food was delicious. Every dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and presented beautifully. The culinary skills of the chef are commendable, and the menu offers a delightful variety that can satisfy different palates. However, my ... experience was marred by the behavior of the store manager. Throughout our meal, the manager continuously stared at us while we were eating. It felt as though he was watching us to see if we were wasting food, almost as if we were receiving a free giveaway. This made my dining companions and me feel extremely uncomfortable. To add to the discomfort, I noticed the manager and the cook whispering and glancing in our direction multiple times. This behavior was distracting and made us feel unwelcome. When I approached the manager while paying the bill to ask if everything was alright, he simply told me, "Don’t waste food." While I understand the importance of not wasting food, the way the message was conveyed was inappropriate. Staring at customers while they eat is not only rude but also makes for a very awkward dining experience. Overall, the food at Restaurant is great, but the management's behaviour needs serious improvement. Dining should be an enjoyable experience, and feeling scrutinized while eating is far from that. Amazing food, Amazing staff. All you can eat had all the essentials. Fresh naan made to order, everything was delicious and the owner was very friendly and passionate about his food. 10/10 would come back and bring a friend! This place is a hidden gem!

I have been eating here consistently for nearly three years and I've tried many Indian restaurants in the GTA. I can confidently say The Shish Mahal is my all time favourite Indian restaurant. From the quality service to the pleasant experience with the owner and chef, this place is everything I ... like in a small local restaurant. The butter chicken and naan are my personal favourites. Garlic naan is also great. I eat the chicken and fish tikka weekly. The pakora and samosas are great starters. Love to end my meal with their gulab jaman for dessert. The reason I always find myself coming back is I don't find their dishes to be oily and they use quality meat. Happy to recommend this place to all friends and family. The restaurant have also brought back their dinner buffet for Friday and Saturday evenings which has vegetarian and non-vegetarian options along with a salad bar and dessert. The Shish Mahal is a tiny place on the Ridgeway in Missisauga. You can easily miss it unless you are looking for it and there are many big restaurants in the vicinity. But the Shish Mahal stands out. It's small, it's not fancy but the two outstanding things here are ... first the Service with a 5 star smile. With the people working here, both old people, are terrific. War, living and they have the correct suggestions for what you should eat. @. The food is simply fantastic. I would recommend a first visit and warn you that it can be addictive.
