India’s Taste - Mississauga, Ontario

Really nice Indian restaurant. We have been used to go to Markham location which is nice. First we came here and found no difference in quality of food. Must try.

When you first walk in the place it is beautiful with its incredible lighting and big cushy bench seats. Then you look close. Some lights have gone out and the walls and seating look worn and unwashed. The food in the grill area was over cooked and dry. Mildly spicy so ... to the general public it’s probably ok. The veg and non veg dishes are very salty. My husband and I were grabbing glass after glass of water. The plates were never cleared until the end. We had to walk around to find someone to bring another bottle of water over. The curries like daal makhni was all gravy. Barely a lentil in it. The desserts were awful. The rasmalai was so over rose watered that it tasted like perfume. And the milk it was in was just milk. The kheer went bad and was sour. The gajar halva was old and stodgy. Honest opinion. Good things first : Good ambience and great service. Lots of varieties. Fun part: They have a robot that comes and picks the plates 😀 However,.. taste was okay. Mixture of all and unfortunately we didn't like the taste for most of the dishes. It varies from person to person. This is ... for me. Meat was hard and felt undercooked. Not so great thing is that kids age is limited to 7, so my son who was 9 had to be paid for 32.99 and kid aged 5 was charged 20.00 (Weekend lunch buffet). Eat all you can buffet. Lots of options in veg and non-veg. The mushroom appetizers were so yummy, it just melts in your mouth. The crispy fish, seekh kabab and lamb chops(it was served at the table) were finger licking good. Multiple options of fish and chicken appetizers. The chicken was ... too dry. I would have appreciated it more and given the full 5*, if chicken was juicy and soft. Main course was also good with lot of curries options. The spicy south chicken curry was bad in taste, never gonna try it again. Desserts were good, but could have been better, since some of them tasted sour when they weren't supposed to be. Read more

It was my first time visiting this location. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. They have variety of vegetarian options available. The food was delicious. When I ordered the butter naan, there was a lot of butter added on top. When I tried the naan, I could only taste ... the butter. I would recommend to let them know prior to ordering this item. Their customer service was great. They also had Robot Server, which at once malfunctioned. I was about to place the plate on the shelf and the Robot Server began to move forward right away. It is important for staff to ensure that Robot Servers are functioning properly at all times. Read more
