Visited the shop for having a drink on a weekday afternoon. Ordered the Mango Tango (The smoothie made of Mango and Pineapple). The lady was very polite and supportive. $15 for a cold bowl when it mentions in the menu served on warm rice. Cold brown rice + barely warmed up chicken ( the server put it in the microwave and removed even before the timer) + cold sweet potato+ avocado+ cheddar cheese+ corn+chipotle sauce. We wanted something healthy for lunch. I had the brie turkey sandwich. I thought it was pretty good. They toasted it so it was warm. A few vegan options I saw in a ad and while in Square One decided to give them a try. Ordered a Tokyo Miso and Green Glow smoothie. Requested that Tokyo bowl be made with half quinoa bites and half tempeh. They obliged which was welcome. The dressing while making it ... seemed a lot, but as it was the first time I wanted to see how it went. Lots of crunch in the bowl which was good. The dressing was disappointing. It added some seasonings, but still not enough for the salad and it tasted really bland. The quinoa bites (more like balls, than bites) were the best. Not a big fan of quinoa and it did not convert me. Have had bowls from F and each of their vegan sauces are just amazing. Cultures missed the boat on this one. The smoothie was OK as well. A bit more banana than my preferred but still good. Would have preferred more avocado than bananas. Over not too bad, will see if they have other dressings than can replace the miso dressing.
