Great fish & chips here!! We have ordered multiple times, this time we ordered for Good Friday. They were a little behind on the orders, which is to be expected based on the volume of orders for Good Friday. Would have never stopped here. I passed it millions of times and didn't know it was there. Ordered on line and picked up a very good fish and chips

Amazing fish and chips! And to my joyous surprise they serve Newfie fries! (I skipped the ground beef.) This is the “small” halibut and chips special! Great portion and super tasty. Definitely recommend!!

The interior doesn't make much sense, but at least it's clean and bright overall. Asked to pay first. Chips are actually not bad. Not seasoned but, not burned or oily. Service is bit distant - forgot to bring my cup of water and I had to take my own plate to my table.... ... maybe he was practicing social diatancing? maybe because I didn't pay tips? I ordered the fish (haddock) and chips, with a can of root beer. The total was just about $14 (tax incl). The plating of the food left much to be desired, while the ambience and decor of the establishment was quite lackluster. The furniture felt dated and perhaps a tad dirty, ... and the air smelled of deep fry. The service was very good though, and I was delivered my plate to my table. Regarding the food: the fries were fresh and hot and had no salt or seasoning. This was ok as the focus should be on the fish, but it would benefit the restaurant to add just a bit of salt to the fries. The fish was great! The better wasn't too thick and remained crispy while the flesh was moist and flavorful. The reason I am giving a three 🌟 rating has to do with the environment and the value. I think the price is a little high for an establishment that appears to cut corners on decor, cleanliness and "frills". However, if they spruced the place up a bit then I'm sure a 5 🌟 assessment is well within reach. Read more
