Ron was such a treat!! My motto for Caribbean restaurants is usually “If the service is rude, you’ll love the food” but Ron and his food certainly changed my mind. The jerk chicken dinner was awesome, it reminded me of when my parents would take me to Jamaica every ... few years. The Caribbean flavour was so authentic, the meat was cooked to perfection, and I could not stop eating the rice and peas. The atmosphere in the restaurant was just like being in the Caribbean. If you ever want great Caribbean food or even just a chat with a wonderfully kind person, I would absolutely recommend stopping by Calabash! Read more

Ron prepared some fabulous dishes for our work gathering and kindly made mixed plates to allow us to sample a couple of dishes. The oxtail was fabulous, and I also enjoyed the curried goat on rice. Stopped here randomly as I was looking for Caribbean food close to the highway. I experienced excellent customer service, and the man who took my order was very friendly and personable. We ordered two oxtail dishes with rice and peas and were pleasantly surprised to see how much meat there ... was. The food was delicious, so I will definitely be back. Read more
