The waitress didn't seem to want to be there. Our booth was not cleaned, although our maître d attempted to slap my mother's side of the booth with his tea towel, my side had crumbs on it. As for the booth floor, there was food and a used paper napkin ... on it. The seafood pasta needed added depth of flavor, and the sauce was oily. My mother's Symposium burger had barely a squirt of sauce, the fries tasted like cardboard and turkey sausages on the side were so so. Overall, a nice atmosphere, available outdoor seating, clean enough bathrooms, and friendly manager. They brought us extra ketchup, Symposium sauce (which is basically French dressing) and mayonnaise, which we attempted to improve the food with. Read more

We had lunch there with my parents. We were there 3 yrs ago for my dad's 80th birthday. Again the service was excellent. We all were impressed with our meals. The manager/ owner paid special attention to ensure that everything was satisfactory. As we all know, meal prices have become expensive. ... Don't blame the restaurant, blame Trudeau for all the extra taxes on shipping food across our country, not the restaurant. Read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of these restaurants and it was a good choice of my daughter for Father's Day.

I’ve been to more than a few symposiums in the GTA, but this one is by far the worst. This is not to say that it was all awful- the general atmosphere in this symposium is quite nice, but that’s all it really has to offer. When I ordered the chicken ... waffles, the order described fried chicken breasts (plural). What I got was really disappointing. Small, thin and dry, the singular, flat piece of fried chicken I got was nowhere near what was described in the menu. The coleslaw that came with my chicken and waffles was brown and smelled like vinegar. I can only imagine how long that coleslaw was left out before being served (keep in mind I arrived at noon on a Saturday). The water was served in plastic cups, and the staff, albeit nice, were pretty absent. Definitely not what I expected when entering a symposium. If you’re looking to go to a good symposium with incredible food options, consider the one in Georgetown. Great every time I’ve gone. If you want to go here for aesthetics alone, however, this might be a good place to drop by to. Read more

Went for lunch here today with a family of 4. The server was friendly but was hard to find towards the end of the meal when we were ready to get out of there. Thought the food was just okay. Not bad but not great. My ... son was complaining his chicken tenders were a bit too salty. My other son did enjoy the Mac and cheese. I had the burger and it was just okay. My wife had the chicken parm sandwich and really liked it. Feel like the chairs could use a reupholstering as they were cracking. Overall just a very average lunch. Read more
