It seemed to us that they tried to cheat us out of payment. for 2 mini canolas that cost $2.50 at other bakeries they charged us $11.50! I wouldn't say they're worth it. The eclair cost us $4.50, but it was not good for that price and the filling was 2-3 out of ... 10. There are no price tags on the display and you cannot determine in advance how much your purchases will cost you. The receipt does not contain the required information about the product and you will not be able to understand what they are charging you for. Read more
$5 for a loaf of bread and you don’t even have proper packaging to make the bread last longer? Your plastic bags are TINY, even if you use 2 bags it doesn’t actually help…! There are still holes on both ends. See pictures. Please let me know when you invest in ... bigger plastic bags that will actually fit the bread. It is not my job to collect the perfect sized bag in order to fit your bread. Won’t be coming back here until the bags are appropriate sized. The reason this bothers me so much is because I used to live in Etobicoke and go to this bakery called Sanremo. The bread was $3.99 and the packaging was practical, it actually fit the bread AND they even tied it with those little plastic milk ties, all of which helped the bread last a week. This bread I just bought from Britannia will get moldy and hard within a couple days because I unfortunately do not already have plastic bags that fit this. Read more
Delicious baked goods, excellent staff and atmosphere! This place is definitely a hidden gem. They have good seating and a good variety of goods with reasonable prices I would definitely recommend anyone to visit.
The food, bread and pastries are tasty and the ambience is okay, but the staff tends to be not friendly to non Italian customers and if you don’t dress nicely. The staff is not welcoming and they tend to get irritated . They don’t sample and if you ask they will ... look at you as you can’t afford to buy. For sure if the owner around they would have happy to sample to get satisfied customer Read more
