Bakery On Mavis has the best baked pastries especially their Portuguese tarts "pasteis de nata" are so creamy & the crust super crunchy. Miguel was a great help here at Bakery On Mavis which is located in the Heartland area of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Bom a pequeno!

We visited Bakery On Mavis yesterday i.e. 4-5-2024. We ordered Cafe Latte hot and cold both were good in taste. We ordered toast and to our surprise they gave 4 big bread pieces in a plate. The amount was good. Overall a good cafe.

I am not a person that likes to leave reviews but due to being very disappointed with my recent custom cake order I have to share. It started with asking for a quote via email, and was quoted $169, for a white cake, custard filling, 8 inch high, with gold ... balls, and gold edible flakes. I thought of it to be pricey since I just did a cake order with same bakery about 1 month ago for another birthday which was ok, and I remember the price that I was quoted for that height and similar style for much cheaper. I decided to order again and go for a plain white cake, custard filling, 8 inches high, without the decor and was $99. This meant it was $70 for decor to put on the cake that I could order myself for just under $25 on Amazon. The cake was terrible, WORST CAKE EVER. The neatness of the cake was not pleasing as we picked it up cracked. It was dry, there wasn’t 1 inch thick cake to enjoy. I was given a cake filled with cream, not even the custard filling, as requested. It seemed like the cake was put together from the scraps that were cut off from other cakes and packed together. So much more to say, but will stop here. Felt like I did not have the right to ask how much a plain cake would be after delayed response. The pastries at this place were fresh and delicious. My favourite is the pecan butter tart. The prices aren’t too bad and are actually quite affordable. There are big lines and can be crowded at times but service is quite fast and we weren’t waiting for too long.

There are different kinds of rolls and dessert. They also have hot lunch with inside seating. I quite often go shop for bread, I buy dessert sometimes. Reasonable price. Feel like my favorite cake shop near my house when I was kids.
