This is one of my favourite pho place to go in Mississauga, Toronto. I usually ordered #209, rare beef, brisket and beef ball pho. The soup is just too yummy, hot and not salty. The pork chop is very tender and juicy. All good!
Pho Mi 99 use to be my spot, but as of today it will not be. I went today and decided to purchase shrimp that I have not purchased in years as I saw that it was still on the menu and there was a picture in the menu of what ... it looked like (see image- this is not the image taken directly from the menu, but the closest image that I can find of what was shown in the menu). I got home just to see that I got breaded shrimp. I contacted Pho Mi 99 and told them what I ordered and how I received breaded chicken. The guy who answered said that the picture in the menu is inaccurate as it was about 10 years old and that they no longer serve the shrimp with the head. I understood and that was fine, except for the fact that I received breaded shrimp. The guy gave the phone to the owner, and I explained to her how I received breaded shrimp. She told me that what I got was seasoned shrimp with onions and garlic, and that they no longer service the shrimp with the head. Once again I said I am fine with it not having the head, but I did not want breaded shrimp. She told me that next time I should tell them that I do not want garlic and onion seasoned on my food and that I should ask them next time about the food before ordering. I said to her "So what you're saying is that the images in the menu and some of the descriptions are inaccurate. And that every-time I order I need to ask if the menu is correct." In which she responded with "sorry, if it had been her who had taken my order she would have told me and that next time I should ask." She then said "so is everything ok now". I said no as I do not like breaded shrimp so I would not be eating it. She then handed the phone to the guy again. He asked me if everything was resolved, I said no and that I am unsure as to why she handed the phone back to you. I told him that I was not expecting breaded shrimp, he said ya sorry thats our bad. But next time you can tell us that you do not want the onion and garlic on your shrimp. I asked if there was anything they could do as I can not eat this. I was told that I could order something else... and pay for it. Like why would I do that. All I wanted was them to take back the shrimp I ordered and replaced it with anything that was not breaded shrimp. Anyways, I tried the breaded Shrimp and it tastes like oil. Its just crazy to me that they would not try to rectify the situation, especially after admitting several times that it was their mistake. I use to come here all the time and started coming back about a month ago. But after today, I will no longer be a customer. See the image below for what I ordered vs. what I got. Read more
I am new resident of this local area. When we searched nearby places, this place's Google reviews did not give me good impressions. So me and my hubby were running away from this place, However, after a bad experience in another place, we had no choice but to choose ... this place. We both liked this place. Their Pho is good. Their rice fries can get better. Ps: you have no choice other than tip them via their machine if using card. TIP is appreciated but not forced to give. This policy gave me chills. Read more
The food was okay, but the service fell short of expectations. When we asked for specifics about our food, the server guys were unaware. I noticed one of the server guys scratching his armpits shortly after delivering our soup... which made me feel very awkward. The pricing was reasonable, but they clearly state that they only accept debit/cash and do not provide receipts. The quantity of food was also adequate, but when compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, we found the food to be less tasty.
Still one of my go to spots for Pho, vermicelli, grilled pork or grilled chicken on rice or vermicelli and a jackfruit shake. I bring my friends here all the time. Quality food and still fair and reasonable prices.
