Papa John’s Bakery - Mississauga, Ontario

We supported Papa John since it is opened, and thought it was a neat place to drop by for a quick lunch or snack. But over the years, the food price has gone up substantially, we understand with the COVID all prices has gone up and running a small business ... is not easy. But not only that, the food quality has gone down. We bought six buns and every bun was burned at the bottom, and it tasted bitter, it ruins the taste of the bun. We asked if they can cut a bun in half, they said this is additional cost....it is a bit disappointed, plz Papa John bakery, we would like you to keep operating for the long run, but with this type of service, adding cost for just cutting a bun in half, and bad food quality, customers will just be turning away. I had their signature pineapple bun with butter combo. The bun was very fresh and tasted really good with the thick slice of butter. Tea comes with the combo, and I ask for 2 sugar in my tea, but still, for some reason, it doesn't taste like they put in ... sugar. Also, the tea is not consistent in taste as I went there twice already. The prices reflect cash price and don't seem to be posted that they charge an extra 50c for debit payments. HK-style food at decent prices. Been here twice now, no complaints for the preserved veg vermicelli, curry beef brisket with rice and of course… the pineapple bun with butter. Thought it would be an authentic HK style streetfood place. The decor looks cool but not so much with the food. We order a few items off the menu. It was so so. Kinda a bit disappointed.
