Great date night restaurant. The main "atrium" has an indoor/outdoor feel with how the ceiling is glass. We got the daily special drink and sharable, they were awesome. The burger was incredibly juicy and the cesar salad tasted like they made the dressing in house.
Had the tomahawk, definitely a shared meal, it's massive. Very good, varied between medium and medium rare. Still tasty. Also try the booze and butter. Ashley was fantastic, especially taking care of our large group. The oysters are on the small size but were fresh and tasty.
First time here after seeing it featured on Instagram as a great date spot- and it did not disappoint. Very Canadiana/modern ski chalet-like interior and ambiance. I had the Buratta, bone marrow steak tartare and espresso martini and everything was divine. Would definitely be back and would love to try the Spanish octopus!
The Wilcox serves delicious fusion dishes. We are always excited to try new things on their menu, but we used to come often for our two favourite dishes: the Spanish Octopus and the Korean Cornish hen. These two dishes have changed to slightly different dishes. The Spanish Octopus is unfortunately downsized ... (see a comparison photo of what used to be a half octopus... Vs today's 1/4 octopus) and the garnishes and pairings are still delicious but not as elaborate as before. Although I do prefer the KFC (Korean fried chicken) appetizer over the Cornish hen dish as it is a less spicy and less messy to eat. We still come for their delicious food (and cocktails) however the value($$) has changed, so we do not visit as often anymore. Read more
We decided to spend a special birthday dinner at Wilcox, as we’d read good reviews online. The food was pretty decent, some dishes better than others. But I’d warn you to eat slowly, as we found something in our jerk chicken… one member of our party almost choked when we ... uncovered a deep fried bread tag! We were very surprised that a place that was supposed to be highly rated could let something like this happen. The staff were receptive to our concern and offered us a free meal substitute, but it’s completely unacceptable for this to happen in the first place. Just thought you all should know! Read more
