Updating the review after few months - We went on a Game night and the place was jam packed. The co-owner was extremely polite and ensured we got a seat. Food was great - We had Fish & Chips, flaky fish , delicious. Service can be improved as we had to flag ... down the server a couple of times. Definitely the best sports bar atmosphere in town. The atmosphere is totally different - They have huge television sets on all the walls. There are different games playing on the television. As it was a Saturday night, the place was fully packed and seating was an issue. Service was good but there were only three waitresses and hence, we had to wait a lot whether it was water or a sauce. Maybe increasing numbers especially during a Game night or weekend would be good. Food - We ordered the chicken finger and chips ..the potatoes were fried with skin and absolutely delicious. Also had the coconut encrusted tilapia fish. The Portions are Huge and the tilapia came along with a mound of rice and steamed vegetables. In all a good place to hang out and have beer with friends. Intrigued by the diverse menu, we decided to indulge in the Jambalaya and the whiskey ... garlic shrimp with garlic bread. To say we were impressed is an understatement – both dishes were absolutely phenomenal. Edit. I visit this place often. My latest visit disappointed me. The double chicken breast I ordered was undercooked. So taking a star off to let the chef know. Earlier review: The food is awesome, delicious and filling for a good price. The screening is great, there are many huge TVs ... with a variety of games playing. The ambience is also amazing, the decorations make you feel at home. The waiting time is reasonable, and our waitress was nice as well. Really happy with The Bristol, it’s my family’s favourite sports bar. Read more
