Arts Bistro and Wine Bar - Medicine Hat, Alberta

I made a reservation from TheFork a few days before coming- requested a table outside because I have a small dog in a stroller/carrier. When I arrived, we were refused of service because the “terrace” isn’t open. They are only open for smoking. Why would you not open the terrace ... on a beautiful sunny day? They also won’t let us sit inside. The management did not notify us prior to us arriving. They said they tried calling, but I did not received any phone call or miss call. a terrible experience. We were greated by a very well presented, professional woman who had our booking on her clipboard and she escorted us to our table. The waitress then asked if we would like some sparkling or still water for the table,we requested still and she returned imminently and poured us both a ... glass,sealing and leaving the bottle on the table. We perused the menu which was not packed with pointless options but nearly all of them sounded delicious, and I'm quite a picky eater. We orgered the meat croquettes and the sardine toast, both of which were lovely. Our mains were the seabass and vegetables and the cod, again both were delicious and well presented. Our deserts were the tirimisu and brownie, both of which looked like art pieces and were a fantastic end to the meal. We declined the coffee but ordered Amaretto. We then settle a surprisingly low bill for the food we ate and headed back to our hotel, very impressed by the restaurant and its staff. Read more

The restaurant was really amazing. They were so lovely and the food was so delicous. We celebrated my wife's birthday and they even made a special cake for her. 100% recommended!!

Best coffee in Porto! Great desserts, wine, very friendly and professional service. Food made from high quality and healthy products so you can not go wrong with anything. We visited 2 times in our stay. Thank you!
