Argo’s - Medicine Hat, Alberta

I have to agree with a previous review. Came just after 10am. It took a long time for our server to take our order. A table that came after us was served before us. By the time we were served our food the table that came before us had finished ... eating and paid. Food was mediocre at best. Honestly, I had a better breakfast at Dinosaur provincial park and they have only the single cafe. How can you compete with all the other places in Medicine Hat with mediocre food and service? I went with my girlfriend to this place and we had no clue what we were going to get on our first date. This place was so cozy and nice. It was an honor and the food was just amazing. I don’t typically write reviews but felt this review was necessary. 10 of us went in at 11am and we didn’t leave the restaurant until 1:30! Two and half hours for a meal is unacceptable. In 2.5 hrs the waitress came to the table to drop off a canteen of ... water and coffee and never once asked the 4 children if they wanted refills on their drinks. The food was luke warm and mediocre at best. 2/3 bills were wrong and to top it off they added gratuity to the bills. I don't recommend you go to Argos hungry because you will be ready to eat the furniture before your food comes. We waited over an hour for ours. I'm told this is not uncommon. The food and beverage options were almost overwhelming. There were a lot of different choices! The server was ... very lovely and helpful. It was worth the wait. The chicken Quesadilla was really, really good. So when I go the next time I won't go expecting my order quickly. If it comes sooner, it will be a nice surprise. Read more

Stopped into Argo's for diner with my wife for the first time. Over all experience was good the place was very busy but yet the service was great. Was greeted by one of friendly server's and was seated within seconds of entering the restaurant. If you are ... looking for lots of options Argo's got you covered. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. I went a head and ordered the half order Spinach dip and Mozza sticks. And for the main course had the Rib eye with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. My wife with the spaghetti and meat sauce. Both were very tasty also had a slice of cherry pie for dessert.
