Reviews for Inspire Restaurant in Markham, Ontario
My previous review mysteriously disappeared from Google, prompting me to share my thoughts again on this gem. Food This Asian Fusion restaurant remains a standout favorite of mine, reminiscent of the renowned Lee Restaurant by Susur Lee in downtown. It offers a menu filled with distinctive dishes unlike anything I've encountered elsewhere. ... The salmon rice, with its bold flavors and innovative ingredient pairing, was a delight. Having visited three times, my friends and I have consistently enjoyed our meals. Service Given its popularity, securing a reservation is advisable, especially considering their unconventional operating hours. The service staff excels in friendliness and professionalism, ensuring a seamless dining experience even during busy times. Their attentiveness adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Ambiance The restaurant's ambiance mirrors the eclectic nature of its cuisine—a bustling atmosphere that manages not to overwhelm. It skillfully blends Asian influences with contemporary decor, creating a space that pays meticulous attention to detail, much like their culinary creations. This thoughtful approach extends from plate to place, making every visit memorable. Read more
One of the earlier restaurants opened around Markham that served up fusion Asian, I’m happy to see that they are still doing well. I remember when it first opened over 7 years ago (I’m pretty it’s been longer than that but my memory escaped me right now), I really enjoyed a ... dish they had that had uni in it. The menu has since changed but the loco moco and the udon bolognese was really tasty, albeit a touch salty for me, but I couldn’t stop eating the udon! It was creamy, the udon was cooked just right and the meat, sourced from Famu, was seasoned and cooked tender. The environment wasn’t bad, but the music volume could have been lowered a notch. I recommend Inspire if you are around Main Street Markham. Read more
Came here with 6 other people. We were all happy with our food. Fries were really good - crisp and well seasoned. Udon and satay chicken were the star. The only down side was food service was very slow. We arrived at 6:30 by 7:45 we were still waiting ... for our menu. No one came to tell us what the problem was in the kitchen. One of our drink order was also missed. They serve delicious fusion food but if service is this slow, I’m not sure I’d be frequenting this place. Read more

Brunch's main dishes options are limited but we went for yuzu shrimp hash and shiitake gravy chicken katsu. About $20-22 per dish, portions are big. Food was good. Maybe wished for more shiitake gravy but we were pleased. Iced blueberry matcha is average & the waitress is not ... very cheerful. Read more
