Truly one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. the rooms were mediocre at best but worse than that was the rude, uncooperative, and dismissive customer service. Their “included” breakfast service was one of the worst I’ve seen in all my years of traveling. We booked through Priceline for ... our family of four yet only received a breakfast voucher for two. Not only have we never heard of a hotel having a breakfast “voucher” policy but for the two days we stayed at the Monte Carlos Inn only half our family was able to eat. Upon checking out we were told that we did in fact have four breakfast vouchers and they had made an error in their system but by that point it was too late as nobody had communicated that our issue was resolved. Common hotel services all seem to require extra money: at breakfast eggs or meat has to be paid for separately, there are no water fountains or water bottle filling stations, amongst a multitude of other issues. All in all I would best describe our experience at the Monte Carlos Inn as worse than an off the highway motel. Read more

Upon arrival, I discovered that the bed linens had not been changed, as evidenced by the presence of bodily fluids, hair, and various other filthy particles from the previous guest. Even more distressing was the presence of bugs in the bed. After laying on the bed for only twenty minutes, I ... began to experience severe itching all over my body. This reaction escalated into an allergic response, resulting in red rashes on my back. This hotel made me speechless for how terrible and horrible the experience was. First off, booking online it stated something else about the prices. We booked two hotel rooms (4 people each). The people at the desk claimed that two queen beds are for two people only which ... makes absolutely no sense. It shouldn’t matter the number of people per room (only if there’s extra). They were arrogant and rude while making absolutely no sense. They charged us $25 per person! We were only disappointed onwards. The room ac was broken so the place was painfully freezing. The bathroom was unclean and the toilet flush barely worked. We called people to fix the flush but they never came. In addition, it made no sense why they charged extra for some breakfast food items. Despite its vintage appearance, Monte Carlo Inn was good enough. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, albeit simple. My room, complete with a jacuzzi, was a haven of relaxation after a long day. Though the hotel may seem a bit dated, ... the amenities and comfort make it a worthwhile stay. If you need a place to sleep for just one night then this isn’t so bad. However, I definitely do not recommend a multiple-day stay here. The service is mediocre and the rooms are a little dingy. I know Inns / Motels tend to be lower budget but there are ... so many nicer options than this one… The first night we checked in there was a leak in the ceiling in our room. The guy working reception came up to check and just placed the room recycling bin under and said he’d move us in the morning. While he was there we asked how to control the room temperature as we couldn’t figure it out, and it was quite laughable that neither could he!! He just pointed at random switches we already tried in the room saying it was through those. We later discovered on our own that there was a handheld remote to operate the thermostat… staff should maybe learn the rooms a little better lol Read more
